This is made by putting the Valpolicella back on the pressed skins of the Amarone, and that gives additional depth and intensity to the wine, without making it overbearing. There is so much going on here, with herbal lift backing up the core of dark fruit, and excellent balance. Brilliant energy, and there’s just a hint of dried fruit and dried thyme and lavender on the finish. A really sapid, delicious, energetic wine.
