An interesting switch from a G+T, this is the perfect summer sundowner: an aperitif combining Chenin Blanc and 35 botanicals. Served with tonic and ice, following a day at the local Botanical Gardens, or a visit to The Story of Emily in Cornwall, this will transport you straight to the Cape.

Caperitif Kaapse Dief, AA Badenhorst Spirit | Vermouth | 13%

It's refreshing, crisp and full of flavour: floral, orchard fruits & citrus, with a touch of white pepper. It's really versatile with food including salads, seafood, and even dishes with a bit of spice.

2021 Grüner Veltliner Stein, Stadt Krems, Kremstal Dry | White | Still | 13.5%

Stein is a district within Krems, at the most western end of the area, near Wachau. This comes from a terraced vineyard, with plenty of sand in the soil. Lots of spice on the nose, lots of stone fruit too. Slightly smoky, really nice vibrant fruit, and there’s a breadth that comes across the palate. A hint of bitterness on the finish,

Delicious.
