We’re delighted to share that we’ll be launching a new Lay & Wheeler website on 9th November 2026, alongside an upgrade to the systems that support our services.
These changes will help us improve your experience with Lay & Wheeler. As we prepare for the transition, there are a few important actions we’re asking you to take, as well as some temporary changes to our usual service that we’d like to make you aware of.
1. Please check your account details by 11th October.
Keeping your personal and payment information accurate and secure is important to us. Before we begin the transition, please log in to your online account and check that the following information is up to date:
• Your name
• Address and postcode
• Email address
• Saved card details – please remove any cards you no longer use
We’d be grateful if you could complete these checks and make any necessary updates by 11th October.
2. What to expect during the transition.
To allow us to move safely to our new systems, there will be a short period when some services take longer than usual or are temporarily unavailable. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
From 19th October to 9th November, changes to names and addresses may take longer than usual to process.
From 19th October to 16th November, there may be delays processing wines arriving into reserves and new wines being added to our broking list.
From 5th to 16th November, access to reserves will be temporarily unavailable. During this period, you will not be able to view or withdraw wines from reserves or arrange condition reports.
Our broking service will also be temporarily unavailable from 5th to 16th November. You will not be able to list wines for broking, view wines in reserves, or arrange condition reports during this period.
3. Planning a November delivery?
If you are considering having wines delivered during November, please allow plenty of time and arrange your delivery as early as possible to avoid the periods when access to reserves will be unavailable.
4. Website availability
Our existing website will be unavailable from 1pm on 5th November while we complete the final stages of the transition.
Our new website will launch on 9th November.
We appreciate that these temporary changes may require some forward planning, and we’re grateful for your patience while we make these improvements.
