A deep colour without any hint of garnet.The nose is somewhat restrained with hints of spice overlain with floral notes. The limestone-dominated soils of Gavarini produce very distinctive baroli and the fruit is dense and generous.This has real intensity and focus and great length.The style is flowing and has mineral notes but the tannins underpin this really well. As impressive as ever.
