Côte de Nuits 2018

The northern section of the Côte d’Or and arguably the top location for Pinot Noir in the world. Along the lower slopes of the escarpment are vineyards producing wines of incredible complexity and, among the stellar names, there is value to be found in this vintage.

2018 Morey Saint-Denis 1er Cru Faconnières, Domaine Stéphane Magnien Dry | Red | Still | 13.5%

One of the best terroirs among Morey’s premiers crus, this comes from 40-50 year old vines. Wild and stony, there are notes of almond kernels and fresh berries. There is such focus here, and a long and savoury finish. Brilliant, and so well priced.
