Traditionally, see sparkling and think Champagne: famous names made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier in the North of France. More recently other sparklers have rained on Champagne’s parade, whether that’s Prosecco and its fruity, easy drinking style, or England, whose wines are close to their Champenois cousins in character, but retain a real English Charm.
