Named after their great grandmother, who arrived in South Africa at 14 years of age, this is a blend of Chardonnay vineyards from across the Overberg. It's a pithy example, with just a hint of reduction, and some ginger spice and sea spray. There's lovely citrus energy on the finish.
Drawing components from Ceres, the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge and the Overberg, the Agnes is a refined, pan-Cape cuvée that ages well in bottle. Fermented with full malolactic, it shows white flower and vanilla spice aromas, quince and lemon zest flavours and a textured midpalate. 2023-29
