This is the original vineyard of the estate some vines dating back to 1965 - it is truly the home of Oregon Pinot Noir. The hills are exposed south and roll from east to west. If there is a wine that really defines Eyrie, this is it. On the one hand it is quite a serious wine, with a brooding core of aniseed, wild cherry and crushed rocks. Yet there is a playful side here too. Vivid and so well defined on the palate there is animation in every sip. Seamless, cohesive, delicious and profound. Old vine Oregon Pinot at its very best.
