2020 'Una Volta' Pinot Noir, Blank Canvas Wines, Central Otago

'Una Volta’ means ‘One Time’ and the fruit is sourced from a vineyard with impressive pedigree: the Renaissance Vineyard on Bannockburn's famed Felton Road. It's dark and more savoury than Blank Canvas' other Pinot Noirs, but with the same ethereal perfume. Concentrated, full of dense brambly fruit, with grippy but polished tannins at this early stage. This has enough energy to drink well now but will benefit from some time in the cellar.
