2021 Louro Do Bolo Godello, Rafael Palacios, Valdeorras

Since starting his own project in 2004, Rafael Palacios has made some of Spain’s most celebrated white wines. The ‘Louro do Bolo’ is made from small, selectively harvested, parcels of Godello with an average age of 25 years, at elevations of over 600 metres above sea level. The 2021 shows brilliantly expressive grapefruit character and a plush, textured palate. The combination of the wine’s aromatic intensity, saline character, and silky mid-palate make it a delight to drink. A truly exciting wine!
