2018 Pedra de Guix, Terroir Al Límit, Priorat
Guix is a biodynamically-grown blend of old vines of the region’s most important white varieties: Pedro Ximénez, Macabeo and Grenache Blanc grown on steep slopes. The Pedro Ximénez is left to undergo controlled oxidation and is blended back into the rest of the wine. White flowers, bright citrus and nutty notes come through on the nose and palate, in a rich, soft, ripe style. More salinity and tension comes through towards the finish, becoming fresher and fresher.
