A blend of two thirds Pinot Noir and one third Chardonnay. A taut and linear wine, as are many of the 2002 vintage, showing a ripe, citrus intensity on the nose with time in the glass. On the palate, this has a vibrant structural acidity and concentrated fruit core, overlaid with attractive and complex notes of brioche, white pepper, steel and spring flowers. This is a tightly wound wine, which needs some patience, but one can already see its potential.
