Deep, near opaque with a bright purple rim. The nose is rich in dark cherry fruit, with spicy, peppery nuances. The palate shows terrific purity, with an appealing sense of ripeness. The fruit is bold and intense and the palate weighty, but there is remarkable elegance and refinement present. A seamless quality on the palate impresses further, as do fine, gently grippy tannins.
