The Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot Tête du Clos comes from white soils, which is apparent on the nose with mineral and floral notes peppering the orchard fruit. The palate is extremely balanced with great depth, hints of peach, nectarine and tangerine and a detailed, fresh finish. This will be difficult to resist in its youth.

The 2023 Bourgogne Chardonnay has a taut, mineral bouquet that bursts from the glass. The palate is well balanced with a citrus entry, then quite malic in style with a bright and refined finish.
Also on the leaner side but with a wealth of fruit behind. Stone fruit energy, compact, phenolic notes, just what Thierry is looking for, as am I. There is a slight final bitterness which will play out as complexity, as the wine ages. Drink from 2026-2029. Tasted Nov 2024.
