2012 Meursault Les Narvaux, Domaine Ballot-Millot

Widely considered the finest lieu-dit in Meursault, the soil here is very poor with vines planted almost directly into the rock. It has a thrilling nose of anise and crushed stone, the palate is grippy and serious. 1er Cru quality without a doubt.

2012 Meursault Les Narvaux, Domaine Ballot-Millot
Domaine Ballot-Millot

Run by talented young winemaker Charles since 2000, on the estate created by the union of his grandparents, this is a domaine bang on form, one you overlook at your peril. Charles is the 17th generation of the family to live and work in Burgundy, but he doesn’t let this history hold his winemaking back. Willing to push the boundaries, he produces wines that have everything in perfect relief: concentration, minerality, acidity and complexity.
