2016 Chambertin Grand Cru, Domaine Rossignol-Trapet

This is a remarkable wine in 2016. They made just 4 barrels, in place of 32 in 2017. But the wine that remains is profound, with so much density and concentration. The finish is so long, you could count to twenty. Then to thirty, and flavours continue to unfurl.

Due to high demand, this wine is limited to 6 bottles per customer.

Domaine Rossignol-Trapet

After converting the domaine to become biodynamic in 2004, Nicolas and David are champions of minimal intervention, from vineyard to winery. The estate, founded in the marriage of the Rossignols of Volnay and the Trapets of Gevrey, has been run by both brothers since 1990. Their wines are elegant, refined, and pure, reflective of their desirable terroir.
