2014 Bourgogne Pinot Fin, Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux

Arnoux-Lachaux have again created a wonderful Bourgogne Rouge. With no fining or filtration, 40% whole bunches used and 25% new oak, this is a wine founded on purity of flavour. Intensely rich and concentrated with crunchy red fruits and silky tannins, there is lovely balance. A wine that will not require too much patience.

2014 Bourgogne Pinot Fin, Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux
Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux

There are numerous examples of Burgundy domaines where the handover between generations has proven something of an upheaval. Fortunately Arnoux-Lachaux bucks the trend, with father Pascal and son Charles working closely together. They approach vineyard management using organic growing methods, and just as fastidiously in the winery. With Pascal’s influence, they represent the most rapid change in style of any Burgundy domaine, and the wines are now quite pure and elegant, with depth of flavour.
