2021 Château Potensac, Cru Bourgeois Médoc

2021 Château Potensac, Cru Bourgeois Médoc

Tasted April 2022. Potensac in 2021 has its largest proportion of Cabernet Franc ever. The rain in the Summer and heat towards the very end of the season helped to build Franc's aromatic elegance, fine tannins and salinity. The wine has a delicious lifted floral note, and an ethereal quality, with a moreish fresh finish.

Tasting notes

The 2021 Potensac is a racy, heady wine. There's a bit more Cabernet Sauvignon in this year's blend, and that comes through in the wine's personality. Medium in body, savory and super-expressive, Potensac is terrific in 2021. I especially admire its finesse. Lifted floral top notes brighten the finish.
