Produced by Pomerol specialist Denis Durantou, La Petite Eglise is made from a parcel of vines adjacent to Chateau L'Eglise Clinet one of the superstar estates of the appellation. A 100% Merlot cuvee - and it shows! Aromas reveal sweet, ripe, stone fruits with hints of Asian spices. The palate impresses greatly - a wealth of lush, pristine, plum, damson and currant flavours flow from entry to its sweet, ripe finish. Nothing is forced here, the texture is silky smooth yet there are tannins in support to ensure a life of ten years. Natural, elegant Pomerol that should not to be missed.
