Olivier Zind-Humbrecht is respected not just for his winemaking but also his stature as France’s very first Master of Wine, as well as being a downright nice guy. With 40 hectares of vineyards farmed biodynamically, he is famous for very low yields, and for producing wine from all four noble grapes. Olivier has pioneered a grading system for his wines, labelling one (dry) to five to indicate their sweetness, amongst other efforts to put Alsace and indeed, Zind-Humbrecht, on the fine wine map.
