Jacques Seysses founded Domaine Dujac in 1967. He bought a small, run-down domaine in Morey St Denis and renamed it after himself - hence the name Du-Jac. His first vintage was released in 1969 and its runaway success put the domaine firmly on the map. In 1999, two of Jacques’s sons, Alex and Jeremy, along with Jeremy’s American wife Diana took over and they have continued to develop the Domaine Dujac’s reputation as one of the finest producers in Burgundy. The domaine has a staggeringly brilliant array of vineyards across the Côte de Nuits, as well as a few parcels in Puligny-Montrachet. They have seven Pinot Noir grands crus parcels and fives premiers crus to their name, plus three Chardonnay premiers crus in Puligny-Montrachet and Morey-St-Denis, all of which were certified organic in 2012. Alex and Jeremy have continued their father’s use of whole bunches in the fermentation process, although they have reduced the amount of new oak in recent years. The wines of Domaine Dujac are revered for their perfumed delicacy and refinement, their structure and their longevity.
These wines are reserved to be allocated to Cellar Circle members.
