Bernard Moreau et Fils white Burgundies are opulent, delicious and up there with the best in Chassagne-Montrachet. Alex and Benoît Moreau are the fourth generation of winemakers to guide the estate which was started by their grandfather in 1809. Their first vintage was in 1999, and their involvement has seen the reputation of the domaine flourish; their superb set of Premier Crus challenge the region's best Chardonnays. They have 15 hectares, spread over 14 different appellations across Chassagne-Montrachet and St-Aubin. Their success is down to their attention to detail. Impeccable work in the vineyards using mainly organic methods and long, sensitive ageing in the cellar results in wines with character and style.
