Chris Alheit

South Africa's Chris Alheit is one of the wine world's most exciting, and sought after stars, a fact that's all the more impressive given that he only started his winery with his wife Suzaan in 2011. He buys fruit from old vines from across the Cape, making a mix of single site wines, as well as his calling card, Cartology, which comes from a blend of different vineyards. His are wines that show remarkable character, with texture, flavour, and complexity in spades. They scale ever greater heights every year: he's a producer you simply have to get to know.
