2016 B16, Extra Brut, Bollinger Dry | White | Sparkling

2022 Chianti Classico, Fontodi, Italy Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

Fontodi's Chianti Classico 2022 is another success from this very consistent estate in Panzano. The inviting bouquet opens with black cherry, baked plum, dried herbs, and subtler notes of mocha and new leather. Although a warmer vintage, an early harvest and light extraction has resulted in a wine that is both soft and accessible, yet with a concentrated core. While rich, the palate is more compact and lighter in structure than is typical for the straight Chianti Classico, revealing an appealingly opulent character in a surprisingly easy-going frame.

Ready: 2025 - 2035
2022 Hermitage, 'La Maison Bleue', Paul Jaboulet Aîné Dry | Red | Still

Deep ruby-red colour. A fine expression of ageing notes: charcoal, coffee, light tobacco. On aeration, the fruity aromas take over: blueberry, blackcurrant. The attack on the palate sets the tone with immediate, gradual power. The structure is remarkable, with coated tannins that linger long after tasting

Young: 2027 - 2039
