2014 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chenevottes, Domaine Philippe Colin
From the oldest vines in the domaine (75 years) comes my favourite wines from Philippe. Initially reticent, the liquid minerals combine with greengage and white peach. There are notes of toast and anise with intensity and great drive. A really top wine, the 2010 is just beginning to open up.
