2004 Château Langoa-Barton, Cru Classé St-Julien

2004 Château Langoa-Barton, Cru Classé St-Julien

Awarded 90 points by Robert Parker, this is a wine not to be missed.

A Celebrated Bordeaux Châteaux at an exclusive price. Held in the highest regard with a loyal following throughout the world, Langoa-Barton illustrates perfectly the elegance, charm and style of St Julien. Purchased by the Barton family in 1821 who then added the vast Château Leoville vineyard (later known as Leoville-Barton) to their repertoire a few years later, this illustrious château has remained in the family for over two centuries.

Appealingly intense ripe currants dominate the nose followed by a wealth of bramble and hedgerow fruit and a creamy finish. This is pure, balanced and certainly one of the most impressive Langoas the Bartons have produced. Decanting the wine for an hour prior to serving will allow its flavours to really develop.
