Sea heather, violets and crushed rock. Fresh and lively, drawing you into the glass for more. The Dow’s 2016 offers clean, crunchy dark fruits, plum and boysenberry. This has a wonderful fruit profile and that tell-tale black pepper spice which is evident for the 2016 vintage, all perfectly integrated, with silky tannins. Powerful yet poised.
Extremely dark blackish crimson (like Graham 2016!). Rather savoury and minerally on the nose. Such a strong, almost minty personality. Lovely blend of freshness and ripeness, though some may reproach it for slightly less tannins than others. Lovely briny impact. Relatively forward, possibly tempting to drink it quite young?
