2016 Croft

Fruit forward on the nose, a real mix of red and black fruits, with an underlying presence of aromatics and a light touch of eucalyptus. Black pepper, straight away evident, gives way to layers of cassis and blackberries and then a burst of mouth-watering freshness which lingers on. Clean, fresh and pure, this Croft offers elegance and refinement. Classic.

TASTING NOTES

Blackish mid crimson. Mild, ‘agreeable’, friendly nose. Sweet and lightly spicy. Then the thread is drawn and it’s much drier on the end. Fairly early maturing compared with the greats, I would have thought. Without massive density.
