2016 Quinta do Vesuvio, Symington

Herbal aromatics offer lilac, granite and tealeaf. A very pretty and alluring bouquet. Rich and seductive on the palate with dark, dense, glossy fruit. Textured layers of warm exotic spice, the tannins are fine and perfectly integrated. Powerful but with a lifted and elegant finish.

TASTING NOTES

Very dark blackish crimson. Reminds me a little of the Noval Nacional for its wildness (and foot sweat?!). Rather heady mix of wild herbs and grasses. Very juicy indeed. Massive impact and drama with great grip on the end. Firm tannic grip after all that appeal. Real pace and excitement. Nervy. Convincing dry finish.
