A wonderful and traditional port house, still to this day treading the grapes in traditional granite lagares - one of the few remaining estates to do this. In exceptional years, the ‘Capella’ is created, with the principle grape varieties of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Sousao. A beautiful perfumed nose, which is both enticing and aromatic, showing lilac and violet, with garrigue like qualities. Just stunning. The density of the palate, paired with beautiful ripe cassis and plum work harmoniously together, then gradually fold away into fine silky tannins and pure refreshing acidity. Complete perfection.
