The very old vines that have gone into this Port have yielded a wine of incredible concentration. The fragrance is elegant and refined, displaying lifted floral notes of blackberry, plum, damson, violets and rose petals. The palate is redolent with these carefully extracted black fruits, where the tannic structure is very harmonious, providing a delicious, rounded mouthfeel. Even at this young stage, this is a beautifully layered Port with a bright future ahead.
