2024 Magnetic North, Alheit Vineyards, Western Cape

Magnetic North is made from two dry farmed ungrafted parcels growing on a high mountainous ridge at 520 meters above sea-level on very red iron rich sandy soil over red clay. There are notes of rooibos, pink grapefruit, with a wave of freshness running through the wine. Very tense and focused, this is a real standout this year.
