2023 Cartology Bush Vines, Alheit Vineyards, Western Cape

A wine that speaks of the wonderful old vine heritage of the Cape, it is a blend of 94% Chenin Blanc with the remainder of the blend, old vine Sémillon. The Chenin comes from parcels in the Skurfberg, Piekenierskloof, Malmesbury, Paardeberg, Bottelary, False Bay and Tygerberg. The Sémillon comes from the old La Colline block in Franschhoek. Giving notes of peach skin, lanolin, ginger and white grapefruit, it is a wine of real tension and precision. Vibrant and saline, there is an intensity that bursts through the palate with a wonderfully refreshing and textural finish.
