A blenc of Chenin from the Paardeberg (including some of Donnovan's most prized grapes), Verdelho, and Viognier. As with all of his wines, this is much more about texture than fruit intensity. It fills the mouth, and lasts an age.
The Rall white is an 80/20 cuvée of Swartland and Stellenbosch grapes, combining Chenin Blanc with 24% Verdelho and 4% Viognier. Showing some subtle struck match reduction, it displays flavours of citrus, beeswax and apricot, very understated oak spices and surprising weight and concentration for a wine with 12.5% alcohol. 2024-30
