Mainly from a vineyard in Darling, this is all about perfume and fragrance. There's a lot of tension here, and also very fine tannins, and a wash of floral notes on the finish. Very pretty, and very long.

Always something of a bargain within Donovan Rall's stellar range, this 75% whole bunchfermented Cinsault comes from a celebrated vineyard in Darling. Aged in concrete and older wood, it's a fragrant, floral red that will appeal to Pinot Noir drinkers on a tighter budget, showing notes of potpourri, pomegranate and wild strawberry and suave, layered tannins. 2024-29
