The 2021 vintage was generally cooler, which resulted in a prolonged hangtime for the grapes which lead to perfect ripening and it really shows in this wine. There are gravelly and graphite inflections on the nose with notes of black tea, violets cassis and dark cherry fruit. Accents of grilled herbs, liquorice root and cocoa come through with a little air. This is a sculpted style with brightness and intensity, that is a real success this vintage.
