2017 Fire by Night Chenin Blanc, Chris Alheit, Paardeberg

3,380 bottles produced. It's the first time Chris Alheit produced a wine from the Paadeburg, made from the Joubertskloof side of the mountain. This is the mountain that launched Sadie, David & Nadia, Badenhorst. The wine comes from 3 parcels planted between 1974 and 1980, that they’ve worked with since 2011, on the Nuwedam Farm, as a tribute to the mountain. It has a lime character, fine acidity and so much concentration to it. Love the energy and depth. Fine and precise, and really nicely defined on the palate with a touch of greengage. This is so elegant and finely balanced. Nervy and finessed and very very long. Strictly limited to 6 bottles per customer.
