This is Charla’s first vintage in charge, and the stars have aligned. Pure and explosive with violets and blueberries, and so much salinity. Wonderful detailing on the palate, and a long finish, complete the picture.
2015 was the first vintage to be made in Sijnn’s own cellar in Malgas and is surely the best release yet of this wild, unruly blend of Syrah, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Amarela, Mourvèdre and Cabernet Sauvignon. Inky and intense, it has grippy tannins, layers of incense and fynbos and a core of darkly assertive fruit.
