From a vineyard just south of the famed Monte Bello vineyard. The grapes here are pressed as whole clusters and barrel fermented as separate lots. It has 15 months in barrel, including 15% new oak (mix of 80% American oak and 20% French oak), 85% older American oak between one to four years old. Classic aromas of fresh pineapple, lemon and pear fruit, with complex brioche, ginger and sweet oak. Layered, complex and full-bodied on the palate, with a long, clean finish.
