This vineyard is named after David Lett's father and planted in 1988 with Pommard and Wadenswil clones. It is a directly south facing site that gives the resulting wines a silky texture with great depth and finesse. There is flesh to this wine while maintaining a sense of levity. Dark cherry fruit, violets and liquorice root. Quite assertive on the palate there is energy here and a musuclar energy and depth that flows over the palate. The finish is long and well articulated with accents of white pepper and lavender.
