2020 Involuntary Commitment, Andrew Will, Columbia Valley
Grapes for this wine are grown in the Columbia Valley, over the Cascade Mountains from Seattle. The wine is made by Will Camarda, who grew up in a winemaking family and is now striding out on his own. It’s a blend of 55% Cabernet Franc, 26% Merlot and 19% Cabernet Sauvignon. Expect a rich, smooth red wine with creamy hints of vanilla and ripe blackcurrants, with more savoury hints towards the finish. A brilliant introduction to the wines from Washington State.
