2019 The Stables Chardonnay, Kumeu River, Kumeu

2019 was a spectacular vintage for Kumeu: winemaker Michael Brajkovic MW believes that he’s made the wines of his life. Stables is made from a blend of the legendary Mate’s and Coddington vineyards, and 2019 is the only vintage it’s been made. It is incredibly Burgundian in style, with hints of gunflint and lemon oil on the nose, a textured, silky palate, and Grand Cru length and poise.
