1998 Hill of Grace, Henschke, Eden Valley
Verging on opaque, this concentrated example possesses striking aromas of dense black fruit and spice. The palate shows tremendous depth, mouthfilling black fruit and spice to the fore with a tarry almost liquorice-like character. Despite the intensity and layered aspect of the palate, this offers great harmony even at this youthful state of maturity. Its rich, ripe nature belies its structure. Bright and vivid, there is an overwhelming sense of freshness about this vintage. A classic in the making.
