The entry is refreshingly bright but yields to a dense, tightly woven core of dark forest fruits, tobacco, and high-quality French oak. The fine-grained, gravelly tannins are rigid but superbly balanced by the wine's natural fleshiness. Just beginning to step into its stride. It has the immense structural concentration to cellar for decades, but with decanting, its sophisticated, fragrant primary fruit is utterly delightful today.
