2017 Hill of Grace, Henschke, Eden Valley

Henschke's celebrated ancient vines deliver incredible depth and concentration in this new release. Full of the classic flavours associated with great old vine Shiraz, with layer upon layer of blackberry, spiced plum, blackcurrant. Sweet baking spices, rosemary and Chinese five spice create delicious complexity and the tannins are incredibly fine and mouth-coating. There's power there but it's tightly wound, with the freshness and elegance of the vintage shining through.
