For a wine at this price point, this has a remarkably complex, intense, alluring nose. There is savouriness, with cured meats and mint, alongside store cupboard spice. The complexity follows on the palate, with mouthcoating, fine tannins offering the supporting role. This is surprisingly serious, and although delicious now, we have no doubt it will last for decades.
