A ripeness, if restraint to the nose with espresso notes supporting the cleanliness of the pure fruit character. The silky tannins make this a real crowd pleaser: this is rich, ripe, classic Aussie Shiraz, at a very reasonable price. It also ages beautifully: a 2004 tasted alongside was delicious, and still remarkably youthful.
