2013 St Henri Shiraz, Penfolds, South Australia

2013 St Henri Shiraz, Penfolds, South Australia

The nose of the 2013 St Henri is surprisingly pretty, with floral notes and excellent lift. The palate is delightful: a fine texture is supported by fresh cherries and spice, while the very long finish unfurls like violet. Outstanding.

Tasting notes

St. Henri is where the smart money is these days. The 2013 is right up there in terms of quality with the gorgeous 2010. No, it’s not cheap, but I do believe it thus far remains fairly priced at a fraction of the cost of Grange.
