2011 Sangreal Pinot Noir, By Farr, Victoria

The Sangreal is the oldest planting of the three and with its red soils tends to be a silky, perfumed style of Pinot. Vines planted North to South leads to more sun exposure. There is a high proportion of whole bunch fermentation making for a serious wine. Ripe currant fruit with game and sylvan notes and a more masculine feel than the Farrside create a very engaging palate.
