2007 Tokaji Aszú Eszencia, Szepsy
A wine that has hardly ever been produced by Szepsy, the 2007 is enchanting and rather a special wine to taste. At 570 grams residual sugar and only 2.5% alcohol, expect a luscious core with intense apricot, orange blossom, marmalade, candied citrus peel and some vanilla spice. The acidity is piercing and cuts through the high level of sugar. A rarity that deserves to be enjoyed now and for the next century (and beyond).
